LEED Commissioning Engineer

Salimus Consultancy is seeking an energetic, hardworking, and skilled leader to join our sustainability consultants team as a Site Supervisor/LEED Commissioning Engineer. The successful candidate must have a background on construction, strong leadership and management skills, and work experience on construction sites.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Direct the commissioning process execution.
  2. Conduct commissioning meetings / workshops for co-ordination, communication and conflict resolution.
  3. Prepare and maintain the Commissioning Issues Log;
  4. Document or review the Owner’s Project Requirements.
  5. Document or review the Basis of Design.
  6. Develop and maintain Commissioning Plan.
  7. In cooperation with the MEP Engineer (MEPE), develop or review Commissioning Specification.
  8. In cooperation with the MEPE, develop Systems Manual outline (Enhanced Commissioning).
  9. In cooperation with the Owner, develop Training Requirements (Enhanced Commissioning).
  10. Submit Commissioning Process activities information to the General Contractor (GC) for inclusion into the project
  11. Conduct Design Review for commissionability prior to mid construction documents phase (Enhanced Commissioning).
  12. Review the Commissioning Contractor qualification prior to his acceptance for the position.
  13. Review construction schedule and produce the original Commissioning Program.
  14. Conduct pre-commissioning kick-off meeting.
  15. Produce Construction Checklist template for the Commissioning Contractor (CxC).
  16. Verify Installation of the systems to be commissioned. Perform site inspections and verify the Contractor readiness for the operational and functional testing process. Document observed conditions after site visit.
  17. Review the Commissioning Program prepared by MEP Contractor (MEC) and CxC.
  18. Review Commissioning procedures, Method Statements, Test Reports and Certificates prepared by MEC and CxC.
  19. Verify components / systems static completion.
  20. Verify components and systems readiness for TAB and FPT.
  21. Verify controls and commissioning instruments readiness and calibration.
  22. Spot-witness TAB and FPT activities.
  23. Collect all documentation from the CxC and MEC used to document the TAB and FPT.
  24. Review and approve the results of commissioned systems and evaluate whether the installed systems meet the criteria for the project as set forth in the OPR, BOD, and design documentation.
  25. Record commissioning issues and send to CxC, MEC, MEPE, Architect/Engineer (A/E), and Owner’s Representative (OR) for resolutions.
  26. Verify satisfactory completion of the commissioning process.
  27. Complete System Manual (Enhanced Commissioning).
  28. Verify training of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) personnel.
  29. Complete a Summary Commissioning Report.
  30. Perform 10-month review of commissioned systems (Enhanced commissioning).

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Managing the team of HSE professionals involved in the project.
  2. Liaise with project HSE staff on environmental non-compliances.
  3. Be available on-site on a daily basis.
  4. Inspect all areas where construction  is being performed.
  5. Implementation and supervision of the CEMP requirements.
  6. Conduct CEMP inductions.
  7. Provide assistance during bi-weekly CEMP audits.
  8. Produce daily reports of HSE concerns and hazards.

The successful candidate must have a background on construction, strong leadership and management skills, and work experience on construction sites.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Review LEED construction credits, contractor responsibilities, understanding project goals and scope (RFP) objectives, understanding LEED specs from construction documents, and joining a LEED project through LEED online.
  2. Understand LEED training for contractors, sample LEED training material, preparing and implementing LEED plans such as construction waste management plan, and construction activity pollution prevention plan.
  3. Analyze, prepare and implement LEED plans such as construction indoor air quality management plan, preparing and analyzing “schedule of values” document for LEED MR credits, progress meetings, and supporting a CxA for building commissioning.
  4. Understand calculations for LEED MR credits, filling out forms for LEED MR credits and uploading LEED documentation via LEED online.

Electrical Energy Auditor

Salimus Consultancy is seeking an energetic, hardworking, and skilled leader to join our energy auditors team as an Electric Energy Auditor. The successful candidate shall have a background on building energy systems, strong leadership and management skills, and hands-on work experience regarding electric measurements and electric metering/data logging on project buildings.

Job Responsibilities:

The candidate should at least have a track record in the following:

  1. Conducting Site Visits to collect key data for an M&V plan and measuring energy related parameters (especially electric measurements).
  2. Identification and quantification of routine and non-routine baseline and savings adjustment.
  3. Execution/supervision of ESCO or EPC project (this is a plus).
  4. Development and monitoring of long-term energy saving strategies.
  5. Energy Performance Contracts.
  6. Monitoring and adjustment of energy savings as per site condition.
  7. Pre- and Post-retrofit M&V services, assessing and validating actual vs predicted/adjusted savings.
  8. Measurement & Verification based on IPMVP Volume 1, EVO 10000 – 1:2012 or more recent.
  9. IPMVP Adherence and Options.
  10. Approach/strategy to determine the Measurement Boundary for each proposed M&V option.
  11. Establishing (normalized) Baseline.
  12. Adjustments (both routine and non-routine).
  13. ECM Operation Verification.
  14. Monitoring Site Variable and responsibilities including monitoring strategies for routine and non-routine adjustments.
  15. Saving Verification.
